So, I’m flying down to visit my sister in New Mexico for an extended weekend. This is a first for me. Normally, I’d be doing laundry, watching Netflix, and eating cookies. But with my sister being in town, I thought I’d get back to work, see friends, maybe work on some crochet projects, and, well, maybe chill.
I flew to New Mexico, but not to jackson hole. The flight was a great experience, but I’m still not sure that I’m really comfortable with the destination. Now, I guess this is where I should talk about how much I love the airport, as well as the surrounding scenery. The airport itself really is very scenic. The mountains, the rivers, the desert and the waterfalls. It’s like a perfect place to bring your laptop and watch some movies and just relax.
What I love about the airport is that there is a free shuttle that takes you to the gates as well as the shuttle to the airport itself. This made it possible for me to just have my laptop with me and chill a bit. I could even get some food and beer brought to my gate. We also had a tour of the airport, which was fun but a bit disjointed. If I was traveling alone, I would probably take that tour.
As a traveler, I can’t imagine a trip to the airport being all that relaxing. I’d much rather just get off the plane and use the shuttle to get to my gate. I think I’d rather do that than having to take the flight home or drive to a hotel.
On the other hand, if you took the shuttle to your gate, you would probably feel that all your needs were met. For example, if you were a member of the family, you might be offered a free beer or a drink on the way. Your flight would be free. In the case of the shuttle, I think the flight would have been free. However, like all things, the price will have to be paid somewhere. I think a hotel would have been an easy option.
I don’t think you’d want to stay in a hotel like the one you stayed at last night. Or really any of the hotels in town. In fact, I think they’re probably not worth staying in. You could easily spend the night in a hotel that’s not a chain. Most of the hotels in Jackson Hole are chain hotels that charge a percentage of your bill for the room. The price of the room is then based on the hotel’s proximity to the gate.
I think that youre right, I stayed in a hotel that wasn’t a chain hotel and it was good value.
The reason the hotel fees can be so high is because of the chain. A lot of the hotels are owned by chains and that’s what they charge for. They charge a percentage for the room, and that is based on the distance to the gate. So you stay in the middle of town, say, and they charge a little bit more to stay in one of the chain hotels than hotels one and two.
